Veterinary Business Branch

Mission

The Veterinary Business Branch (VBB) exists to facilitate and empower good veterinary business management for the benefit of all members involved in the industry.

We do this by:

  • creating a forum for practice managers, head nurses and anyone else interested in veterinary business and leadership to connect
  • facilitating benchmarking and knowledge sharing between clinics and business managers
  • facilitating continued professional development (CPD), including leading the veterinary business stream of the NZVA conference, to support development in business, leadership and personal development
  • being a conduit to the NZVA around aspects relating to veterinary businesses and employment
  • keeping members updated on changes in legislation and business best practice.

Membership

Membership is available for NZVA members as part of their annual subscription fee. There are a few ways you can sign up:

  • Choose VBB as one of your special interest branches (SIBs) when you join the NZVA or renew your membership.
  • Log into the NZVA website, view your profile and select the 'Subscriptions' tab. Click the 'Apply a subscription' button and select 'Veterinary Business Branch' from the dropdown menu.
  • Email membership@vets.org.nz if you have any questions.
