Guidance on veterinarian immigration
Over the past few months, the NZVA national office has continued to help individuals with the visa application process and advocate for spaces in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ).
The assistance given to employers and veterinarians, not only covers the veterinarian border exceptions (50 received in June 2021), but also those applying through the long-term critical purpose visa pathway.
In order to provide some clarity regarding immigration requirements, the NZVA have created a guidance document that covers the different visa options and provides general advice on the processes. This document also includes advice from the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).
If you have any queries on the above, please do not hesitate to contact NZVA liaison Megan Miller, on executive@vets.org.nz or DDI 04 831 1605.
Please also note there are still a number of border exceptions available, for more information on how to apply please contact Megan.
