Veterinary Association welcomes Government money for graduate vets
The New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) is delighted that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), have funded thirty four graduate vets through the Government‘s Voluntary Bonding Scheme for Veterinarians (VBS).

In December 2024, the Government announced plans to end greyhound racing in New Zealand. The Government intends to wind down racing over 20 months to enable the rehoming of greyhounds and provide a transition period for those involved in the industry.
