New year, new job? Far North Vets is looking for a veterinarian to join our friendly, community-focused practice in Kaitaia.

Ideally, you've got a couple of years' experience, but a motivated new graduate who's a genuine self-starter will be considered. We're flexible: this roll can be full-time or part-time, and we're open to splitting it in between two part-time veterinarians.

This is primarily a small animal position, with most work being companion animal consults and surgery. There is an on-call component where you may see a mix of small and large animal cases, so the ideal applicant is either a mixed veterinarian, or a small animal veterinarian happy to do some large animal work when needed. Support and backup are always available.

After-hours callouts are infrequent and any weekend worked is followed by two days off so you can properly reset.

We were NZ's first Lincoln Institute-accredited "Employer of Choice." You'll be backed by a supportive owner, an experienced small animal mentor, a very knowledgeable regular locum, and a great nursing/tech team.
