Vets North have an exciting opportunity for a large animal veterinarian to join our growing team. Have you done your time in full on production practice? Ready for some new challenges and a bit of variety? If you are passionate about supporting our rural clients on the verge of the big smoke, this could be the role for you.

You will predominantly work from our Helensville clinic, while also serving clients across our wider areas of Waitakere – South Head – Puhoi. Our team values collaboration, mentorship, and a positive working environment.

You’ll enjoy variety in your caseload across dairy, lifestyle blocks, sheep & beef and everything in between with the chance to develop your interests further.

The role:

• Full-time position with participation in the after-hours roster (including equine emergencies).
• A diverse large animal caseload across dairy, beef, sheep, goats, deer, alpaca, and equine.
• Back-up and support from an experienced team, ensuring you're never on your own.

What we're looking for:

• A veterinarian with production experience but looking for a bit more variety
• Confident in first aid equine care, particularly for after-hours emergencies. 
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive, positive, and team-orientated approach.
