We’re looking for a motivated veterinarian to join our friendly team at CareVets Horsham Downs in northern Hamilton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys building strong client relationships, providing high-quality general practice care, and working collaboratively in a close-knit environment.
Our clinic has room to grow and we’re looking for someone who’s keen to help shape its future. While some sole charge will be required, you’ll be well-supported by our wider CareVets network, including The Referral Centre and Waikato After Hours teams.

About the role:
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated veterinarian to join our team — full-time or part-time hours considered. You’ll be supported to grow your skills, contribute to a close-knit clinic culture, and focus on the areas of clinical practice you enjoy most.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Client consultations and case management
- Hands-on small animal surgery and diagnostics
- Collaborating with your clinical team to deliver high-quality care
- Contributing to a positive, supportive clinic culture
About you:
We’re looking for a veterinarian who -
- has 2+ years’ experience in companion animal practice
- holds a Veterinary qualification registerable in New Zealand
- communicates clearly and kindly, and enjoys mentoring others
- works well both independently and in a team
- genuinely cares about pets, people, and professional development
