VetEast is a locally owned mixed animal practice in Gisborne on New Zealand’s stunning East Coast. We take pride in the exceptional level of veterinary care we provide to pets and working dogs. Our clinic is well-equipped and staffed with a compassionate and skilled team. The caseload is varied and engaging, with emergency and after-hours cases including GDVs, caesareans, fractures, pyometras, and pig dogs.
As the lead companion animal veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to companion animals and maintaining strong client relationships. You will contribute to clinic protocols and provide team mentoring and leadership.
We’re looking for:
- BVSc or equivalent qualification plus current registration with VCNZ
- Clinical experience in companion animal medicine and surgery, ideally with an interest in working dogs and orthopaedic surgery
- Ability to work sole charge after-hours
- Previous leadership experience is advantageous but not essential
