Tāwharau Ora, the School of Veterinary Sciences at Massey University, invites applications from advanced practitioners, board-eligible or boarded specialists with expertise in companion animals. We have ongoing opportunities based in the beautiful Manawatū region of New Zealand.
Massey University's Veterinary Science program is highly ranked globally, placing first in Australasia and 19th worldwide in 2024. We are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Australasian Veterinary Board Council (AVBC).
We are seeking Specialists or Senior Clinicians in the area of companion animal internal medicine, companion animal surgery.
- Veterinary degree registrable in New Zealand
- Provision of clinical services and clinical teaching
- Memberships or advanced qualifications encouraged
- 10 plus years of experience in a relevant area of clinical practice
- A successful track record of tertiary teaching in a veterinary programme is highly desirable
Our facilities include flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiology, fluoroscopy and ultrasound, and in-house CT. MRI examinations are conducted at a nearby human imaging practice. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) maintains a full suite of in-house diagnostic laboratory equipment and shares a building with IDEXX, a privately owned full-service diagnostic laboratory.
