We’re looking for a passionate and motivated companion animal veterinarian to join our friendly and experienced team in Winton.

Whether you’re an experienced companion animal veterinarian looking to step into leadership, or a mixed animal veterinarian keen to shift your focus and grow your skills in a new direction, this role could be a great fit. For the right person, there’s the potential for this role to evolve into a clinical lead – small animal position.

About the role:

In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team of veterinarians and nurses to provide high-quality care across consults, surgeries, diagnostics and client education. You’ll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day running of the clinic, caring for hospitalised patients and helping clients make informed decisions about their pets’ health.

There’s plenty of scope to get involved in wellness initiatives like weight control clinics and preventative health programmes — and if you’re looking to grow into a leadership role, this is a fantastic place to start building that experience.

You’ll also play a key part in:

• Ensuring high standards in a surgical, diagnostic and clinicial processes.
• Building strong client relationships through great communication and service.
• Supporting wellness and health maintenance programmes.
• Maintaining health and safety standards and contributing to team culture.

About you:

We’re after someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing excellent patient care. You might be a newer veterinarian with a solid foundation and a desire to grow, or an experienced veterinarian ready for a new challenge.

You'll ideal bring:

• A BVSc (or equivalent) and be eligible to practice in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Great communication and time management.
• An interest in developing leadership capabilities over time.
