Springlands Veterinary Centre is looking for a veterinarian to join their friendly, passionate and caring team. One of our doctors is jumping the ditch, so we are ideally searching for a qualified, experienced veterinarian who can hit the ground running in Marlborough's only independently owned and operated, exclusively companion animal clinic - these are big boots to fill! You will be joining the five strong team of veterinarians in the various aspects of clinic life from consulting to surgery to afterhours.
From the reception angels through to the veterinary nursing masters and the admin maestros, we have a solid foundation of support in place. There are several strategies implemented to allow you the time to do what you do best, provide expert advice to ensure a high level of health care for patients.
Mental wellbeing and continued professional development are two of the pillars we hold ourselves up with. We continuously aim to improve conditions by being approachable, open to change and discussing ideas in a healthy constructive manner. As the veterinarian for SPCA as well as other local charities, undertaking desexing campaigns, and running an inhouse feline taming/rehoming programme, giving back to the community is another important aspect of who we are.
Regular hours:
We are looking to fill around 20.5 hours per week:
- Monday - 1PM - 4.30PM, consultations
- Thursday - 8.30PM - 6, surgery then consultations
- Thursday night on-call
- Friday - 8.30AM - 6PM, full day consultations
Weekends:
Sole charge afterhours duty on a shared rota system.
