I am looking for some assistance in my boutique internal medicine practice (VIMS) from about the middle of 2025.

The role is extremely flexible. On a regular basis I would like 1-2 days of assistance per week, preferably Thursday/Friday. In addition, there would be a need to cover full weeks for about 8 weeks per year, including at least one 3-week block. However, if you needed blocks of time of up to 3 months completely off work yourself that could be worked out. 

The role could turn full-time within a year depending on caseload or could turn into 2 similar roles to make up one full-time equivalent.

Our practice shares a building with the NSVECC afterhours service, so there is 24-hour care. There is no surgeon on staff, but an experienced non-specialist surgeon is available for urgent cases such as acute abdomens, splenic tumours etc.

Commenting on outpatient ultrasound cases is a big part of the service we offer.

Our veterinary nursing team is outstanding.

You would have to be eligible for specialist status in New Zealand.
