Ashburton Vets is a friendly family-owned dairy clinic looking for a locum veterinarian to help cover busy calving period. You will be supported by a team of four veterinarians. You will require a good attitude, sense of humour and be able to work independently. Position would start August 2025 for three months but could be extended if enjoyed the position and area.

Located in the thriving Canterbury dairy district, we have a good owner operator client base with modern facilities. 100% dairy - we have the usual routine and emergency work, calvings, plus plenty of surgery. The clinic also provides whole farm preventive programs, Accredited Mastitis investigations, Nutritional advisory service, In-Calf programs and benchmarking farm performance.

Experience veterinarians and recent graduates with an interest in dairy encouraged to apply. Vehicle, smartphone and all veterinary equipment provided.

Suit outdoors enthusiast with multiple ski-fields close-by, tramping, biking and fishing all on our doorstep. Large thriving township with all the amenities, within one hour of Christchurch and centrally located for exploring the South Island.
