Founded in 2011, Alleva Animal Health has become a leader in the development of animal health innovations designed specifically for New Zealand farming conditions. With an impressive suite of world-first treatments, we work exclusively with veterinary practices across the country to provide the very best in antiparasitics and other products.  

Due to a strong new innovation pipeline and to enable us to provide the best ongoing technical support and service to our veterinary customers, we are now expanding our New Zealand in-field presence.

We are searching for a commercially focused and proactive Veterinarian. This is a key leadership role requiring a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide technical coaching to stakeholders plus lead our team of NZ based Territory Managers, their primary focus being to promote and sell our range of products to large animal veterinary clinics within New Zealand. 

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations and living within New Zealand, you’ll also develop and implement effective sales strategies. You’ll collaborate with our marketing and product development teams to launch new products and optimise existing product offerings.
You’ll also contribute to new product development strategies plus oversee our development trials.

Competencies required to be successful include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine
  • Strong technical knowledge of ruminant parasitology, anthelmintics, and animal health
  • Sales team leadership and coaching skills
  • Commercial mindset with the desire to spend time with our veterinary customers
  • Knowledge of farm management practices within New Zealand
  • Proficiency with using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Product and placement forecasting skills
  • The willingness to embrace new tools within the AI domain
  • Ability to conduct planned travel within New Zealand and Australia
