We are looking for an experienced small animal veterinarian to join our awesome team at PetVet Silverstream - with flexibility for a 4- or 5-day week.

This general practice veterinarian role offers a great balance of consults and surgery with scope to pursue a wide range of special interests. If you are particularly passionate about medicine or have a love of exotics especially reptiles and/or birds that would be an added bonus!

About the clinic and role:

• PetVet Silverstream are a Gold Standard Clinic, situated in a lovely part of the Hutt Valley.
• Multi-veterinarian team - you'll join five other veterinarians whose experience ranges from one year - 30 years!
• Experienced veterinary nurses - our veterinary nurses perform nurse consultations, supporting veterinarians in several different ways to improve patient care.
• We have lots of fantastic equipment including in-house REM systems blood machines, multi-parameter anaesthesia monitoring including ECG and blood pressure monitoring via oscillometric and doppler, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, high-quality GE ultrasound machine.
• Your new workplace is a purpose-built hospital with sterile surgery theatre plus an additional theatre for dentals, enemas etc.

The ideal addition to our team will be an experienced small animal veterinarian with at least 4 years' experience as a GP small animal veterinarian. Confident in consults and routine surgery.

BVSc qualified (or equivalent) and registered to practice in New Zealand.
