Opportunity for a Clinical Lead Small Animal Veterinarian to join our experienced, multi-veterinarian team at Pet Doctors Tristram Street, Hamilton.

Pet Doctors Tristram Street is well regarded in the local community. Our dedicated small animal team provide a wide range of services from our spacious and well-equipped clinic. Due to an internal movement, we are seeking expressions of interest to take the lead of our wonderful clinic.

You will be joining a great team of veterinarians, veterinary nurses and dedicated support staff, working collaboratively across our Pet Doctors clinics. As part of the wider Hamilton Pet Doctors community (four clinics), you will also have the support and collegiality of veterinarians and veterinary nurses across the wider network. 

The role is largely clinical but also encompasses clinical management in close partnership with the Practice Manager, some administrative tasks, as well as supporting the development and mentoring of the veterinary team.

• Our clinic boasts four consult rooms, two surgical theatres - including one referral level theatre with all the bells and whistles.
• We have a large treatment room - dental/prep area with three tables, sterile supply room.
• We are equipped with a high-powered digital x-ray unit, digital dental x-ray, IDEXX blood machine, endoscope, advanced-referral-level ultrasound and orthopaedic kit.

• Visiting eye-specialist every month.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal addition to our team will be a passionate small animal veterinarian, with strong all-round clinical skillset and previous leadership experience. You'll be passionate about high standards of care, fostering a collegial environment and enjoy mentoring and developing others.

Applicants must hold a BVSc or equivalent and be registered or eligible to register to practice in New Zealand.
