A permanent position will be available at our mixed animal practice in Whitianga from early January 2025. Hours are flexible with a minimum of two or three days per week but can be more if required. In addition is a 1 in 4 week-end on call.  Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years’ experience predominantly or exclusively in small animals although new graduates will be considered. Some large animal experience will be beneficial for afterhours emergencies.

Whitianga is situated on the East coast of the Coromandel Peninsula surrounded by gorgeous beaches and rugged bush interiors. A fantastic place to live for a range of outdoor pursuits including great fishing, diving and hiking. A fantastic place to bring up children or enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.  No traffic jams, beautiful scenery but with a vibrant growing seaside town with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and essential stores. Only a two and a quarter hour drive to Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.

We promote a relaxed, family orientated working environment within a purpose-built and spacious clinic. We have a dedicated theatre, radiology suite with ultrasound, stand-alone dental room with digital x-ray and in-house laboratory.
