Aorangi Vets is searching for a forward-thinking mixed animal veterinarian for a fixed term period (Nov 2024 – end of March 2025) who can quickly and effectively fit into our team and start making a difference.

Remuneration is competitive and negotiable, based upon experience, skill set, and ability.

The role will include contribution to the afterhours schedule on a rostered basis.

As you would expect of rural New Zealand, we have a significant farm animal and companion animal client base allowing this role to cover many disciplines. However, many of our vets have areas of special interest which we encourage and support. 

Over the years, this has resulted in the development of expertise in areas such as small animal reproduction, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, sheep AI, acupuncture, cattle nutrition, and membership in dairy cattle medicine. We value continued learning and find it rewarding helping our clients.
