The role:

We are looking for a confident, motivated individual with an eye for detail, to work as part of an experienced team. 

This is a unique role, which will see you take charge of a successful range that includes products for cats, dogs, and horses, managing all aspects of both veterinary technical services and marketing. 

You will be supported by a team of like-minded individuals on the ground in New Zealand, as well as other Virbac subsidiaries and Virbac headquarters.

A typical day:

  • Support: Managing technical product enquiries from the sales team, veterinarians, and end users. And managing reports of adverse events.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with all local teams, such as quality, supply chain and finance, as well internationally, with other Virbac subsidiaries and Virbac headquarters.
  • Business development: Working with the sales team to develop and present marketing and technical information to our veterinarian customers in-person and via video conference.
  • Planning: Formulating traditional marketing, digital marketing and inbound marketing plans aimed at both B2B and B2C, with the support of local and international colleagues.
  • Execution: Turning the marketing plans into reality, executing support material such as brochures, presentations, and social media content, with the support of colleagues, and our graphic designer and agency.
  • Reporting: Providing reports on the performance of sales, advertising and marketing expenditure, adverse events, and marketing campaign performance.
  • Forecasting: Working with the finance and supply chain teams to determine monthly and annual product demand and forecasting of revenue.
  • New product development: Conducting market analysis and collecting intelligence to identify opportunities and increase market share.

About you:

The successful candidate will hold a BVSc or equivalent degree, possess sound veterinary technical knowledge, have an understanding of product/brand management, be a team player, and have excellent communication skills. They will be comfortable and confident presenting to internal and external groups, have strong project and time management skills, and strive to make every interaction we have with our customers a positive experience. They will be willing and able to travel domestically for approximately three days a quarter, and occasionally internationally.
