We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced equine veterinarian to join our team in the beautiful North Taranki region of New Zealand. We are a mixed practice with 18 veterinarians engaged both full and part-time. This role will be primarily equine focused to cater for a wide variety of first opinion cases.

Taranaki has a thriving equine community with thoroughbred racing, standardbreds, sport horses, trekking, hunting, ponies and minis. The range of work is interesting and includes field surgery such as castrations, artificial insemination, dentals, brandings and pre-purchase examinations. We have in-house diagnostics and our own equine crush under cover.

We have the usual range of equipment such as portable DR digital x-rays, ultrasound, endoscope and a power-float.

This position could lend itself to a full-time or part-time role within the large animal team.
